What is a fire protection wall?
A fire protection wall serves to contain the fire in case of fire and must have fire resistance for a certain period of time. This means that escape and rescue routes remain accessible during this period and at the same time extinguishing and rescue measures can be carried out in your buildings and facilities.
When is a fire protection ceiling required?
A structural fire protection ceiling protects lives as well as your buildings and facilities from significant damage. The standard designations of the fire protection classes for structural constructions are EI30 or EI 60 or EI90. This means that the component must be fire-resistant for 30, 60 or 90 minutes in case of fire without losing its function and thus its stability.
